There is hope for paramedics who want more from work
January 17, 2010 on 3:07 am | By admin | In Health | Comments OffMany lines of work in this world are respectable, but none so much as those that involve saving lives. Let’s do a little comparison here. What is more respectable: messing with credit default swaps all day, or pulling people out of burning buildings? Figuring out ways to earn more interest on your money, or resuscitating somebody from near death. Or how about playing a game for a living versus rushing to scenes of near fatal accidents to rescue people in need? Without a doubt, there are some careers that are more important than others, even if they don’t make as much money.
But even with that knowledge, some people inside of these careers still want more out of life. They do a great work but there is no denying that our world requires money. The more of it you have, the better off you are. So it’s no surprise that people in jobs like paramedic are choosing to climb the ladder and get paid more for the good work they do. Colleges a plenty offer the paramedic to rn program, and many of them are online. This is great for convenience. And it’s also great for the pocketbook, once the person has graduated from the program.
So I would make a call to those of you out there who are underpaid in a job that requires saving lives, like a paramedic. You can continue to do good work, but experience less stress and get paid more. Why wouldn’t you jump at that chance?
