Repetitive strain injuries are a common type of industrial ailments suffered by many of the workers due to persistent usage of repetitive machines like power drills, pneumatic drill, chain saws and so on. The worst thing about the repetitive strain injuries is that most of the times they are incurable. To explain the fact, you can limit the effect of the disorder but you cannot heal the damage completely. Therefore, disorders like vibration white finger should be better to be prevented than to be cured. Preventing such a disorder is possible through some general consciousness. However, for understanding the breakout of the injury, one has to recognize the symptoms of the same at the onset. Thus, have a look at the primary symptoms of the disorder:
Symptoms of the white finger popularly match with the symptoms of Reynaud’s Phenomenon. Here one should bear into mind that the overall target of this disorder is generally the hands. Although unlike Reynaud’s Phenomenon, here the injury mainly occurs due to prolonged usage of vibrating machines, one common symptom is that the condition of the patient worsens with exposure to cold. The prominent symptoms are:
1. 1. The hand and the wrist turn into white or pale. This happens due to an obstructed blood circulation to the hands due to the narrowing of the blood vessels.
2. 2. Stiffness of the fingers due to the same reason. Normal functionalism of the hands is highly affected for this damage.
3. 3. Loss of sensitivity. The touch sensitiveness of the hands is badly affected.
4. 4. Tingling or numbness of hands.
These are primary symptoms of the white fingers. Patients should consult physicians immediately after the diagnosis of the symptoms.
