So you want to Lose Waist and Don’t know where to Start?
March 17, 2010 on 6:08 am | By admin | In Health and Fitness | Comments OffLosing waist and losing weight are to very different things. Although one can help the other, losing weight will simply drop pounds. To lose waist, you must be ready to do just a little more. Some of us have the misfortune of dealing with excessive fat around the waist line. In some cases, it can seem like most of our body fat migrates to this area. If you want to lose waist, but have no idea where to begin, there are a few things you should know first.
Start with the Diet Plan
There is an excellent chance you need to cut a few things out of your diet, or switch some of your usual staples for healthier intake. If you want to lose waist, start by losing the sugars and high calorie foods you eat. Replace them with nutritious foods such as fresh fruits and vegetables. Other types of foods, such as pasta and dairy products, should be enjoyed in moderation.
Many brands now include low fat and low calorie alternatives to your favorites. Technology has helped make many of these tastes just as good as the original. Consider switching out your dairy products with low fat alternatives. Pasta and rice should be whole what and brown varieties. Not only does this help with fat accumulation, it also helps encourage a healthy digestive system.
Lose Waist with Water
Water is a valuable tool when you try to lose waist. I am not talking about liquids in general, but specifically clear, untainted water. Never assume that drinking fruit beverages, teas, coffee, or soda will give you enough pure water intake. Water flushes your body of toxins while helping to keep your weight down. You may be surprised to learn how much of your excess body fat is the result of dehydration, causing your body to retain water.
Get Fit around the Middle
Any good diet must be accompanied by a good exercise schedule. Whether you want to lose waist, or cut down on body fat in general, make sure you are including a solid work out in your regular routine. Contrary to popular belief, this does not have to be a lengthy session. In fact, more frequent, shorter sessions tend to be more effective. Plus, prolonged exercise may be too hard on your body and can cause strains in muscles. This makes additional sessions nearly impossible and you may become discouraged.
The Right Workout
The right workout will help you lose waist efficiently. Crunches and other middle-focused movements are ideal. Mix in some aerobics and tone other parts of your body. However, make sure you have a few solid exercises included that target the problem area. You will lose waist more effectively and quickly if you choose the right workout routine. Set yourself up for success by encouraging weight loss and quick results. No pills or gimmick diet programs will help you lose waist as well as good, old fashioned exercise and a healthy meal plan!
