In the past, most online gambling sites had limits to how much money one could deposit into their gambling accounts. Recently however the rules have changed with many of the major online gambling sites. Now internet gamblers can deposit as much money as they choose! It’s now easier than ever before to lose it all in the blink of an eye -  thanks to the power of the internet. Oh Boy!

Internet Gambling Destroys Lives - What, No More Deposit Limits?

But even before these changes to the deposit rules were made, the increase in the number of people seeking help for problems related to gambling – often referred to as Compulsive Gambling – had been skyrocketing across the globe. And it’s safe to assume that the number that seek help is typically a tiny tiny fraction of the number that suffer from the problem but never seek help.

The popularty and growth of online gambling has revitilized the gambling business bringing in millions of new players and billions of new dollars. The barriors to getting started in gambling have all but vanished. It no longer matters that you don’t live close to a gambling establishment, or that you may not be old enough to even drive yet. Because even though they have rules about age – it’s not that difficult to fake your way in, and every 16 year old knows ways to get around ‘the system.’

Parent’s should take note. Spouses should be on the alert. Employers should pay attention. If you’ve got a loved one, or friend or employee who seems to be obsessed with their next trip to the race track or talks a lot about gambling, or how much money they won in the card game tournament, or calls in sick alot and when they do come back to work their mind is clearly elsewhere and they look like they haven’t slep in days, then perhaps they are in the throws of an insidious and baffling illness, known as compulsive addiction. The employee who was always loyal and trusting could completely change due to the gambling and might at some point lie, cheat and even steal from you to support their addiction.

Compulsive gambling is a serious addiction which get’s worse, never better. It often leads to serious financial and emotional problems, divorce, violence, depression, and serious legal problems. Suicide is the number one cause of death amongst compulsive gamblers who find their compulsion so devastating that death seems like the only way out in some cases. It’s impossible to be a compulsive gambler to lead a A Life Without Depression.

Marriages are destroyed, relationships are ended, friends are lost, jobs and homes are lost, Many compulsive gamblers become addicted to Drugs Can Cause Your Life to Spiral Out Of Control!!!  The drugs, often cocaine or speed, help the gambler to stay up for days at a time. The compulsive gambler isolates into their dream world of gambling. In a gambling establishment, they ignore everyone around them, at home they sit in the same chair for hours on end, holding their bladders and developing aches and pains from never leaving their computer. They avoid work, the phone, as they isolate from family and friends and lie about why they didn’t go to this event, or why they missed work – again.

It’s not pretty. If you or someone you care about is suffering from compulsive gambling, seek help by calling the Gambler’s Anonymous hotline for your area which can found by going to the Gambler’s Anonymous dot org website.
