How The LighterLife Diet Saved My Life

Hello, my name is Anthony Hooper – I’m 36 years old and at 5 foot 11 weigh 18 stone 4lb.  My GP was concerned that my BP (blood pressure) was high and didn’t look like coming down without medical intervention, he has actually prescribed me with some tablets to lower my BP – but I was concerned about the side effects of the pills so with his blessing decided not to take them and look at losing weight.

Two things have always put me off losing weight, firstly I don’t like exercising, me and gyms have never been the best of friends, the only (limited) experience I’ve had is the people who go to gyms are usually buff and trimmed, unlike me, I think there must be a gap in the health market for gyms where only fat people go!  I could be on to something with this.

So having scoured the internet comparing the different diets that are currently in vogue, I thought that the best 2 (best as in, suited to me) would be the Atkins diet or the Lighterlife diet plan.  The Atkins was probably my favourite just because there was no limit on the amount of meat foods I could eat, so in theory no danger of me getting hungry.  But given my impending health problems I thought the Lighterlife diet would be my first effort at dieting.  This is because I have read that it gives very quick results, so I joined my local Lighterlife group, I have to go once a week for a counselling session and to pick up my food packs.

I’m really pleased with the group sessions, its really helped me to speak to like minded people who are going through the same thing as me, after the first 3 weeks I’d lost 17lbs and my GP was delighted with my progress and most importantly my BP had started to come down too.
